Assistant Clerk

Dennis Millner-Hanley spent 30 years in the service of Commonwealth, initially as assistant to the secretary of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs and executive assistant to the Commissioner of the Metropolitan District Commission. He then became regional director of finance and administration for the Departments of Mental Health and Developmental Services, and ultimately Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the Department of Developmental Services. His responsibilities included development of policies and procedures for nearly $1 billion in services purchased annually by the Department from private service providers.

Dennis earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Williams College, followed by graduate studies toward a master of public administration degree at Cornell University. He joined Advocates’ Board of Directors in 2007.
