Meet Amanda St. Amant! As a Program Director in Woburn, Amanda is known for building strong and friendly relationships with residents at Warren House.
Tell us about yourself?
I have a master’s degree in mental health counseling. I have been working at Advocates for more than three years and manage the staff at Warren House in Woburn, where we help residents with traumatic brain injuries.
How did you keep residents engaged during the pandemic?
We had to find new ways to keep everyone engaged. Bingo is always popular, but we also did more music classes and played trivia. We grew tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and herbs in a garden in the back.
What do you enjoy most about working at Advocates?
I love the flexibility and the residents. Some of our residents are the most thoughtful, caring and big-hearted people I have ever known. And it is great to see it when the residents make great progress and become even more independent.
