Our friends and partners from SVN Parsons Commercial Group Boston got their green on, helping to spruce up three of our residential programs just in time for summer. 17 volunteers joined us on Wednesday, June 23 and got to work trimming hedges, spreading mulch, and planting flowers.
Advocates’ residential services provide not only a home but also a place in the community for nearly 800 adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, brain injury, or mental health challenges. Group homes offer a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment and a sense of family among the residents and staff.
People supported by Advocates will enjoy spending time in their beautifully landscaped yards this season thanks to the generosity of the volunteers. Photos from the day even made the front page of the MetroWest Daily News!
