On a recent episode of Coffee Talk, an online talk show presented by Southborough Youth and Family Services and produced by Southborough Access Media, Chief Kenneth Paulhus of the Southborough Police Department and Advocates Co-Response Program Supervisor, Sheena Mahoney, LICSW spoke with members of Southborough Youth and Family Services about the Regional Co-Response Jail Diversion Program.

Our Co-Response Jail Diversion program is a collaboration between Westborough, Southborough, and Northborough Police Departments. The three departments share a Co-Response Clinician who is embedded within all three departments and responds with officers to calls for service. The clinician can de-escalate crisis calls involving mental health and substance use on scene.

Being on scene also allows for diversion from arrest when appropriate as well as from unnecessary emergency room visits by referring individuals to community-based treatment. Learn more by watching the episode of Coffee Talk!

You can tune in for Coffee Talk on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. live on the Southborough Youth and Family Services Facebook Page
