Join us for a discussion about Adult Family Care (AFC) and Shared Living. We will discusses the benefits, differences, and eligibility requirements for both options. AFC provides financial assistance and the resources families need to thrive. A team of case managers and nurses partners with families to help them care for their loved one in the comfort of their own home. Shared Living matches individuals with disabilities to members of the community who provide care in their home like a family member. Individuals gain greater independence and opportunities for an active lifestyle in the community, yet have the support and companionship of someone who cares for them at home.

A Full Life Ahead is a workshop series offered by Massachusetts Families Organizing for Change (MFOFC) for parents and guardians of young adults with a disability. The series focuses on transition, employment, housing, friendships and other topics that will lead to interdependent, full lives. Advocates is proud to partner with MFOFC to offer workshops in the Metro Boston/MetroWest region
