Westborough Cemetery Committee invites the public to a memorial service on May 9th to acknowledge and remember those who have been forgotten. Many buried in the Potter’s Field were people diagnosed with mental illness who lived out their days at Westborough State Hospital. No family or friends came to claim them. They have remained nameless for decades. We want to honor all these people and are committed to creating a proper memorial for them.
Many hands make light work and we welcome any and all who would like to be part of this project. Music and light refreshments will accompany our memorial service.
